I just can’t. I couldn’t like any of the characters, and every time I thought I was getting drawn into the story I was flooded with descriptions of pain - either Inquisitor Glokta’s unrelenting physical pain or the horrible torture he oversaw, including tooth torture! Agh. Shades of the Marathon Man there. I just couldn’t.
