Very much a re-do of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. "Gaston" is "Belle's" ex-bf. I like the story but can't lose myself: Gaston is 2-D flat, all jerky-jerk, Belle's mother also. Unbelievably one-track stupid. I'm left thinking, "Belle, you're likeable, brave, not self-pitying (amputation is a real part of yo' life, but not yo' life), but why you keep these ppl around if they so shitty?!" The secondaries need work.
