Very much a re-do of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. "Gaston" is "Belle's" ex-bf. I like the story but can't lose myself: Gaston is 2-D flat, all jerky-jerk, Belle's mother also. Unbelievably one-track stupid. I'm left thinking, "Belle, you're likeable, brave, not self-pitying (amputation is a real part of yo' life, but not yo' life), but why you keep these ppl around if they so shitty?!" The secondaries need work.

I was so eager to read this book because my friend promised me that there're lots of wolf cuddles. But she didn't tell me that the MC was a whiny new adult.
Also, couldn't the doctors tell the difference between a dog bite wound and a wound caused by animal trap?
