“We’re in a time loop, or replaced, or rewound…” I said, and there was only one person I knew who could do that.

“I said don’t kill anyone!” I shook my head. As much as I had wanted to bust out of here with a bang, I didn’t want to escape leaving a rampage of bloody carnage in our wake. The kids, however, had other ideas. Not that I could blame them after being mistreated and kept hostage for so long.

I’ve done this all wrong. I should never have expected them to focus and minimalize their powers. They needed to explode, to burst forth and give the world everything they had. I felt bad for the guards on the other side of my wall, when I reconciled quite quickly that the five “kids” behind me were armed with much bigger guns than I would ever have.

You know what I hate? Fade to black sex. If you introduce it, then do it right., or don't introduce the relationship in the first place. If the book is written for adults then treat us like adults. You don't have to do much, just a little of something intimate and sexual.

FFS. Enough of the winking between James and Isaiah.

I looked again towards the other Isaiah, with my head canted to one side and an eyebrow raised. What the hell?
“Not hell. Not yet anyway. Astral Projection I believe it’s called—if you’re wondering how I’m here and there at the same time.”

Most magical abilities had a radius; a maximum effect area. Mine was pretty close, force fields and energy shields were only viable up to ten feet or so, and then they seemed to fizzle out. As an Empath, skin-to-skin contact was the best, but that wasn’t information I let just anyone know.

One thing was for sure, I was trapped. And these kids didn’t stand a chance with me as their instructor.
