We have the first chapter of Darker Depths and I'm sorry, I've sorta checked out on the series by this point. It's written well and I'm sure it will get it's fans, it's that I'm not one of them.

Despite the world building and vivid setting and interesting premise, I find myself not being able to fully immerse myself in this story. I'm not sure why exactly, and it's a shame too.

This book is kinda odd. At first, I thought the larger cast was going to be easy to keep up with, but now I find myself getting lost. And while the plot is interesting and the setting is vivid, it feels hard to keep up with at points, like it feels jumpy.
