It was the cover I think?! Also I love a good rockstar story. Unfortunately the dialogue falls squarely in the category of "people don't talk like that". Contractions, shorter sentences, open ended senteces, etc. all things that are missing from the dialogue and it feels like the author is preaching at me through her characters.
