This is the second time I've read this book. This time, however, midway through I noticed a great big hole in the plot, specifically in the motivation of the protagonist. I can't reveal it because it would be a spoiler, but an astute reader will notice it also. It's spoiled the book for me and I just can't finish it. It's just too stupid.
