Cathy and Heathcliff are both the most batshit insane and dramatic characters I have ever read about.
I didn't know that she dies halfway trough the novel.
Some passages in this are really damn quotable. Also melodramatic on a level unheard off, but so damn beautiful at the same time.

The pacing is so supremely strange sometimes, we just had *SPOILER* someone narrate for multiple pages, leave the town, have a child off page and then D I E off page in the span of fifteen sentences (I counted).

It took me 2 weeks to read this 344 pages book. That is quite the testimony to how difficult this was for me to read. Reading the last 100 pages in one go made me so damn tired and mushy, wow. But I still really really enjoyed this book for all it was.
Will I ever encounter characters that are worse than Heathcliff and Linton, I really don't think so.
The first classic I have actually read from start to finish, ayee.

Sometimes I think that I speak English fluently. Then I read a classic and realize that I might be wrong.
Sidenote: I read those first 18 pages on a 5 hour train ride and got the biggest headache possibly imaginable, I hope this isn't a bad omen.
