is finished
Completed weeks ago! I started this book, place it on shelf for months, then coming back to it and just couldn’t put it down. Will give longer review next but this book is a 4/5. It would be different though if I review each book in the omnibus - some books were better than others.

Finished Shakespeare’s Trollop (Book 4) and now on Book 5 - Shakespeare’s Counselor. Trollop was a real page turner and had a good twist in the end. But again like in the previous book, the ending felt a bit abrupt. There were a few loose ends or characters I would have wanted to see more. And quite frustrating that no reference was made to Lily’s family given all the events in the previous book.

Finished Book 2 (Shakespeare’s Champion) which is darker than the first. Great story, but found sequencing of events and introduction of characters flawed. Will write a longer review for this book.
Book 3 (Shakespeare’s Christmas) was an easier read and delved into Lily’s family. Loved the story but the ending seemed abrupt. Will write a longer review for this book.

Finished the first book of the series, "Shakespeare Landlord". Great start as setting and characters well set up. Great heroine in Lily Bard. Overall, characters all sound authentic with great distinct voices. Only drawback is if you don't read the book through and through, and have a long pause, hard to remember who is who. Book kind of like Nancy Drew but with more adult themes and violence.
