I have wanted this book for a long time and finally grabbed it while it was on sale. Less than 20% in, I'm already frustrated. Some of the plot is implausible, but could be overlooked. What bothers me most are the overuse of pronouns, awkward sentence construction, and vagueness of scenes that I'm guessing are supposed to create suspense. They only create confusion. We'll see whether this ends up in the DNF pile.

I just can't get into this book. The plot seems too disjointed, unnecessarily vague in its effort to create suspense, and implausible in several ways. There is a lot going on---perhaps too much that seems unrelated for too long. I'm simply not enjoying the story. DNF
