Really good so far. I had feared this would be gay erotica. It's not. It's semi-historical fiction/lit fic/romance (kind of). I love this unique spin on the classic "oops I fell in love with my slave!" narrative. So far Dexter is the only cliche... he's the typical cruel overseer. But all the other characters, especially the main ones, are one-of-a-kind individuals that I'm really enjoying getting to know.
