I hope characters make it to the end of this book. I know that there is a sequel but I'm getting really worried. The author has a way of ramping up the tension. It's freezing cold. Reading the book makes me cold as she describes winter. Also, look at all these badasses coming out late in the game. So many secrets. I know there's a sequel. They'll be okay, right? Right?

My heart hurts for Charles and Anna and for Asil as well. I want all of these characters to find peace. Anna is doing her best, but it's so hard after what she went through. Charles is so awesome, and it's great watching them make mistakes. Bran is this enigma, and is awesome, but I cannot stand that brat he calls a mate. GRR. Also, the descriptions of a Montana winter are making me so cold!

This book is so gripping. While it seems like a stand-alone, I found myself reading the short story that comes before it after I'd gotten a small ways in to this book. It holds a greater impact. Love Anna and Charles. Love the pack dynamics, and this is top knotch writing. *gloms*
