I've decided that Julia, the main character, is not nearly as intelligent as she keeps saying she is.

I am so torn by this book. It's enjoyable and the writing is lovely, but it feels orchestrated, like I can feel the characters being moved around. And something just happened that's pushing the limits of my suspension of disbelief.

This book has so much potential but the drama is soooooo over the top. I know ultra dramatic stories are the thing these days, but I'm so not into that.

Have I ever mentioned my hatred of dream sequences to facilitate plot? I mean, if it's a book like, say, Miracle, which is about PTSD, fine. But this book's had two already and I will be forced to deduct half a star as a result.
