My second foray into the steampunk category. I've yet to see the hero and I want to! The other characters are certainly building up the hype. And I understand why people compare this a little to Jane Eyre. I'd also go as far as to say there are elements of Northanger Abbey, which was inspired by the Mysteries of Udolpho... It's there in the almost-goth category.
