I haven't read any YA books in quite a while, but for one of my favorite authors I thought I would try it. I am very glad I did! There were some names I needed to look up so I could pronounce them properly, but that didn't matter while I was reading. I was too engrossed in the story. I highly recommend this series to everyone who likes a good short series, and who loves YA paranormal stories.
