Aww, 'Yard Girl'! We find out why the book is titled this, and it is so wonderful, especially because of Mrs. Miranda Addison! I love her ... can I love her? Are there really people like the wonderful characters I have been introduced to in this story? If yes, please add me as a friend here on Goodreads!
(No, Sister Nelsons allowed!)

Yes, finally, at the end of chapter 30, Sister Nelson has made a revelation about her son, Johnathan, and although it is a sad one, it is a necessary one for so many reasons. This story is so...is just...I am actually finding it difficult to put into words the impact it is having on me. I am happy...I am sad...I am excited...I get upset, but only when Johnathan, Sister Nelson, Gregory & Trudy are around.

I am so impressed with Sienna's ability to stay strong in the face of the 'unfavourable' people she has encountered, and works with/for. I know that has to do with the wonderful people she has in her life, staying strong for her parents/family in Jamaica, and more importantly, her faith based way of going through life. I wish my eyes weren't so tired, unless I would/could certainly finish tonight!

It 'blows' my mind that a woman who counts herself as a Christian woman can have such thoughts about Sienna, who is such a lovely young woman. Jealousy, I presume, and probably because she knows the accusations against her s

It's just after 5AM, and I am so into this book that I dreamt about, 'Soursop Bay'. I was there at the beach with Sienna as one of her close friends. It had been a particularly cold day and Sienna went back into her memories to warm herself. It was of the last party she had before leaving Jamaica to study in the UK and it was so vividly recalled by her that I dreamt it. I am enjoying this very much and must go now to

Unfortunately, I was only able to read the first 4 chapters today, but I am very much looking forward to getting back into this captivating story. I instantly took a liking to Sienna, and of course to her friends, Carlton and Melvin. I am as grateful as she is for them!
Funny how Sister Nelson forgot that she is a devout Christian woman, and has clearly forgotten, Matthew 6:3! How dare she throw the fact that she
