I’m struggling to understand the appeal of this book. I honestly can’t stand any of these characters. They’re just bitter, angry, aggressive, and violent people. In the first book, I mildly found Lila interesting/likable while Lenu would alternate between jealous/placating. It’s more of the same, except now Lila is terrible and unsympathetic. Going to skim this trifle. Would not recommend.
