Going to finish that book today. Starting again at 30% to get the story back in mind. Though I remember it fairly well. I ended up catching that scene when her dad calls her crazy and slaps her and oh gods, someone take her away from the drunk asshole and stop her from apologizing to him, seriously!

I'm starting to thing that that woman could be Tris and Connor's mother who seemingly left years ago. Ellie repeated a lot how she was so white. Could a body be kept in a freezer all those years?

there's something I don't understand. it's a small town, everybody knows everybody. my first thought would have been 'who's that woman, where does she come from, is there a missing woman somewhere? ' But no. so far, Ellie's barely wondered who the woman was.

I really love that there's no info dump. Like, you learn that she's 24 only 10% into the book. I mean, you can infer it from information about other characters, but you don't get a full description all in one sitting, 'in-front-of-the-mirror' style.
