I haven't read any of this lately, but I recently heard Blue Skies by Willie Nelson. It really felt like a dramatic song for that car ambush scene a while back. Could start during the drive and continue through the struggle and be a good walk of the survivor feel before he is arrested.Haha.There would be so much slow motion during such a scene, you'd be able to capture those micro-emotions of an actor.

'Indirectness offered with care can be far more useful than unthinking directness.'

This is a tough quote. As much of our lives is repetition, so it's not nessisarily true that people understand why they do things. However, in the sense the first bit means listening, I don't see how the quote is more helpful than meditation. It still picks at asertativeness as a problem, but it ignores we have preconceived ideas.

Currently reading Gravity Dreams as well. This one has a detective feel, while the other is more academic/philosophical/open ended. Interesting picture of society. Aristocracy, sort of feel, while Gravity dreams is more diverse in backgrounds, cultures and the application of tech is more in tune with the society.

L.E. always brings a bit of philosophy to the table.

"Humans require certainty to function individually, and shared certainty to maintain a viable society. Technology requires knowledge, and knowledge enables understanding. True understanding destroys certainty."

L.E. seems to be good at writing about food. It is actually very tastey. But, then going to the Opera was kind of like that Kovatch scene with href="https://youtu.be/7jbVeZNQpcY">Mirium Bancroft, but didnt feel as extreme.

Still havent gotten to Ellysium, barely was introduced to the main character--Blaine Donne. Pheromones are a thing and shields. Personal shields too, like in SGA.

Starts off with very thick language. Presents egalitarianism as something to be desired as if life was so simple. Moves into the dark aspects of high society. The Argenti and the Farkhans are suspected to be prowling the "Gallian systems".SPECS: Holo-projections, Fully developed Google AI Organizational Support, uploadable consciousness, Cloning, Bio-Engineering, and Bio-Enhancements.
