...so this child is wandering along through NYC beating a tamborine and irritating total strangers? Is this the plot? And he drinks coffee and likes the Beattles and is never questioned when he says he's 'going out,'? It's like a 40 year old man decided at the last minute that the narrator should be a quirky child and then just failed to adjust anything to fit that.
