In various forms and in different spaces I keep coming across this: perhaps we humans don’t need HOPE but instead GRIEF to do what is necessary. Will ‘We’ do what is necessary? Down in my gut, here in my heart, and deep in my bones I don’t know that we will and to my head that is...incomprehensible, for one. I’m willing to attend to my own grief. I’m willing to be in community. I’m willing to take the actions I can.
