Hi Travelin. This book is a fascinating history of east west trade over thousands of years, and at about half way through, where I am now, he’s covering the impact of the sea routes on trade and the beginnings of empire. One of those rare historians who can take a wide, wide view based on years of accumulating detail. And it reads well, almost a bonus.
