So many other creatures did not survive as the Roiss dominated the Home planet. Tec, a nurturer of life, grieved for those creatures. He knew only too well how the Roiss held beings other than themselves in contempt. The ecology of the Home planet was thrown out of balance, and yet the Roiss continued to pollute and overpopulate.--pg 16.

Just when I think I may abandon this book, it reels me back in with its weirdness. Lovemaking in this book is described this way: "an intensely biological hour." Ha ha ha ha ha....so weird.

This book is a chore to read. I hate to abandon it because it's so short, but it's really nothing I'm enjoying.

R'ya is annoying. I know she is young, but that doesn't mean she should be so lacking in common sense. Also, great twist at the end of chap. 2. Did not see that coming at all. Story is interesting although dialogue is very wooden.
