Read "The Call of Wings" - Ok but a bit much. Also, what about those canals?

Read "The Last Seance" and "The Lamp" - the first was terrible and predictable, and the latter was fine.

Read "The Red Signal" - pretty predictable.

Read "The Rajah's Emerald" - impossible for the reader to deduce the solution, but ok ending. I think I was mostly relieved it didn't end in an engagement like the past few stories in this collection.

Read "The Golden Ball" - all of these short stories are the same... Fantastical yet dull.

Read "The Mystery of the Spanish Shawl" - I could see where this was going but I liked it nonetheless.

Read "A Fruitful Sunday" - boring story but ok.

Read "Jane in Search of a Job" - ok story. But why does Christie always feel the need to end on two strangers talking about getting married? They literally just met a couple minutes before!

Read "Accident". I really liked it, especially the end.

Read "the manhood of Edward Robinson"-good story until the last page, totally out of character for Maud.
