A little confused at this point about whether Lachlan and the mysterious entity are one and the same. And a little grossed out by the sex scene. Any man who shoves his finger into my butt and then into my vagina, will be shot, killed and shot again. That's just ASKING for an infection. I'm not too wrapped up in fiction to remember that.

SPOILER ALERT: Conjecturing that Danny is the ancient one and the ominous spirit. And that he might have been the one who turned Lachlan. And I think Lachlan is the one who called the other vampire to inform him that the ancient one was there.

The book gets better the longer I read but... this woman was in desperate need of an editor. I've counted two obvious typos in the past 30 pages alone. Not good. Still wonderfully written- albeit overdoing it on the vampire obsessed with being a vampire thing.

Hooked from the first page but Lachlan's ironic pretence at being a vampire is overdone, to me. And the dialogue is a little corny. I really love the writing style though. the author certainly has a way with words. I just wish she would pass that gift on to her characters.
