teeth gritted I say to myself that I like this book, I like this series

but somehow it's book 4 and we're recapping and explaining the basics to characters, again. "this is how the timestreams work. these are my powers. this is why this dude is a spy" oh my god I read the last three books please stop, please just do anything to advance the plot you do not need to show Ia explaining things again and AGAIN

Ia: would shoot a puppy, thus proving that she's been an unreliable narrator this entire time and is actually the villain of the series.

Really good reading for when you have a migraine. Simple to follow and fun.
