This is not an accurate representation of abuse, expesually not for a woman over the age of 30 who has been in other healthy relationships. There is no "redeeming" qualities to him to make her dealing with abuse plausible.

This book is making me uncomfortable, which I suppose is the whole point of this novel. I REALLY want to have a strong talk with the main character.
