Ugh... OK this is hard to track. Story not only told in alternating POV but time jumps as well. While one person stays primarily in current, the other person straddle current and the past. While the whole time so far you know there is a secret/an event that is being danced around but is dragged up continually. At this point you just start to get a tip of secret.
