Ah, the good old shaming of girls. I'm glad Mena is aware of how wrong and unfair this is!

I'm loving how this is attacking a lot of problems I feel myself. Like how here, women are expected to prepare wonderful and hearty meals for men to make life more "agreeable," but can't be selfish and have food craving themselves. No, they are expected to eat salads and be mindful of calorie intake.

So many issues going on that purposely reflect this modern world.

I'm identifying a lot with the embarrassment and shame Mena is feeling over being seen as an improper and disobedient girl in a patriarchy. This is hitting a bit too close to home and the realness of it, but I'm loving it all the same!
