I am roughly a third through the book now. I can highly recommend The German Genius to those interested in German and European History. The topic of 'genius' is currently (page300) gone lost. As one reviewer wrote at some pint the book turns into a sort of encyclopaedia of German culture and science and links developments to emerging strands of developments in science and culture elsewhere. My problem now is that I have lots to read for work but can't put the German Genius down. More later...roughly 500 pages to go...
