In the end I decided not to bump up my Goodreads challenge to a higher number, because I do want to keep it at 150 in future years. But with part-time employment and not enough of my own writing work this year, I finished my challenge! Now it's time to set aside the reading and get back to the writing. Or rather, revising. :o

Thanks! I've been reading some great books lately, so it's been fun. But I definitely need to get back to my stuff. I don't know that I would call the revision process hell, but it sure isn't much fun. It's just kinda boring, I think.

I think of it as a chance to make my story the best it can be.
I think it just really depends on the person. I can imagine if someone does a first draft that is not strong, the revision process can be very painful trying to get everything to work. For me, I don't really have a lot to do in the revision process - mostly just word choice. And while it's necessary to do that because, as you point out, it will make my story better, it's neither awful nor fun. I would describe my process as Revision Blahs. lol
