The book is good but hard to follow in places. The language is quite stilted, much more so than in Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I followed the chapters by reading the Mansfield Park summary on Schmoop.com. On several occasions, I was glad I did. There are references to “a living” and a few other things which are obsolete in today’s world. All in all, I enjoyed it very much.
