Read "Bodily Interventions" by Jax Jacki Brown, and I'm glad I did. Learning about her experiences with being queer and disabled, how those identities and communities intersect, and how the LGBT+ community still has a long way to go when it comes to being accessible to all, made me think about and confront a few biases that I didn't know I held. This book is a masterpiece in exploring queer Australian identities.

"Adelaide is famous for its churches and its murders and one can quickly see how they came to live side by side."
"I wasn't a girl. I wasn't a boy. I was just me." - Jen Cloher, "John."

hmmmm a queer author talking about their experience growing up and attending Catholic school in Adelaide? hoo boy that hit me directly in the gut and that's only the first story in this anthology.
