Saturn: the great boner killer, the disciplinarian, the Roman god who ate his children. I attended a Lights for Liberty rally to take a stand against racist immigration policy. I read Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh by Matt Fox (not specifically Saturn energy, but very good medicine).

Jupiter invites expansion of your horizons, intellectual and geographical, and your sense of self. I read: Meeting the Madwoman by Linda Schierse Leonard and Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman

For Venus, I read two works by Erica Jong, A General Theory of Love (nonfiction), and Stoner by John Williams.

Two more Venus books: Autobiography of an Orgasm by Indianapolis native Betsy Blankenbaker and The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman

I'm pausing after each planet to read a book or two I feel embodies the essence of each. For Mercury, I read Trickster Makes This World by Lewis Hyde. I'm reading Venus stories now, and will until I understand her power. (In case you're curious, I have Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Leo, Venus in Cancer, Moon and Ascending Scorpio.)
