Yes, I'm reading this for the tenth time and yes, I will be taking it to silent book club this weekend so I can convert everyone to join me in my obsession.

This is my ninth read of The Mere Wife, how is it possible that I'm still finding new themes to comment on and connections to make???

It's Christmastime, of course I'm reading this again.

Since a good portion of this book takes place around Christmas/New Year's Eve, I want to start a tradition where I read it each year for the holidays.

This book is brilliantly plotted, everything foreshadowed so subtly, and I already know what happens but I'm over here trying not to lose my mind. Headley's writing is just incredible.

I've been super busy these last few weeks, but if there's one thing I accomplish before the end of the year, it'll be my reread of The Mere Wife. Already, I'm noticing things and making connections I didn't when I read this in October, so it's really fun!

I'm in the middle of this super heavy, anxiety-ridden section, and I CAN'T FINISH THE BOOK BECAUSE MY LUNCH BREAK WASN'T LONG ENOUGH WOE IS ME.
