The timeline on the third person’s age doesn’t make any sense. Surely she should be significantly older than Eddie’s dad? Or was her husband meant to be at least 20 years older than her? If so, why not mention it? The passage of time on the pier seems pretty central to her story. I’m confused.
I’m also not sure how satisfactory this whole Lomé of argument is.
