“But you hate my singing.”
“That’s a fact, and I’m not a big fan of your humming either.  You trying to tell me you think I’m perfect?”
“Hell, no.”  Charisse shook her head quickly.  “You’re arrogant, grumpy, overly fixated on my breasts…”
“And your ass, don’t forget that sweet ass of yours.”
“Let me add annoying to the list.”  She rolled her eyes heavenwards.

“There’s something about that guy that just makes me want to rip the dimples right out of his head.”
Drum’s growling response echoed off the walls and drifted outside.  “I hear you. Next time, I’ll head-lock him, you bring the pliers.”

“Hmmm, and I’m still hungry… what’s a girl to do?”  The smile was back on her face as she gleefully rammed the bolt into Nate’s thigh, yanking it out and popping the bloody end of the bolt into her mouth, sucking on it loudly.
Nate winced, not exactly the distraction he’d been hoping for.  And now the woman had quite possibly ruined all porn for him… was there no end to her evil? 

.  “So, what’s the plan?”
Nate stared at her a moment, chewing slowly, pondering her question.  The answer was pretty obvious to him.  More sex.  A lot more sex.  Blow up that rock. Marriage. Kids. Spend the next century or so together.  But how did you pin down a woman who spent her life dealing with lowlifes and an overly obsessive rock with an eating disorder?

“You had no right to do that, you evil, hissy-fit throwing shrew.”  Charisse gathered her strength, staggering to her feet.  “You aren’t even close to starving yet… but could you wait, be patient?  Of course not, because you’re the uber-bitch rock, dragging me around like a fricking tea cup poodle.   I swear to the Goddess above, if you ever zap me here against my will again, I’ll invest in a drill and start carving

“I cannot express with words right at this moment how much I loathe your wide, bikini-wearing ass, Cyd.  Those were two of my best minions… Helmut and… and the other one.  I don’t know what you are bitch, but I’m very much looking forward to carving you open and finding out. And, just for shits and giggles, I think I’ll let the Warrior here watch while I do it.

Destiny flashed forward, gripped his injured arm, ripping it all the way off.  With an easy toss she sent the limb hurtling away into the darkness.  “Now, unless you want to play fetch with your remaining arm, I suggest you button it, Gustave.  I don’t care if you’re hungry or you’re hurt.  I’m busy playing with my handsome new, anatomically correct Ken doll, and I don’t want to hear any more whining from you.”

“Are you insane?  Tell me you didn’t request a restraining order against Darcy?”
“What else can I do?  She’s proving to be annoyingly tenacious.”
“Heavens, I don’t know whether to be in awe of you or scared for you.”
“Definitely be in awe of me, Cyd.”  Nate quirked up an eyebrow, casting a sexy come hither smile her way for all of two point five seconds before he seemed to recall who he was talking to.  

“Hi, I’m Charisse, Hadleigh’s cousin.”  She usually didn’t need to say more than hi, but there was no reason not to be polite. 
Let the puddling and drooling commence.
