After all the battles around the formation and use, taking over western Europe showed that there still were moments Guderian's ideas were not trusted yet and he had to jump in the breach to pull things the way of the tank battles.
But Western Europe would fall. And next to a few flawed strategies here and there. The battles went as they did go, few expected just how capable the tank army really was.
