Good lord! ‘90’s comics at their worst - Indecipherable artwork, at least one head scratching sub plot per page and I’m still on the first issue! Is it too late to suggest an “awesome” buddy read experience with my pal, Anne? Heh.

Anne Go away. Go far, far away with that shit.

Jeff It's over 400 pages, but at least it's in color. *sob*

Michael I just bought this Incredible Hulk Epic Collection (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) and I can´t imagine that the Daredevil=Artwork is as half as bad as this one :(

Jeff Ha! Don't bet on it. Imagine a Todd McFarlane-wannabe but someone who can't draw faces or keep track of who's punching who - "I'll just use lots of shadows and keep it dark, because even I don't know what's going on."

message 5: by Michael (new)

Michael I wish there were more shadows in this HULK tome ;)
If you are fearless and promise to not sue me I offer to post some pictures of this "artwork" ...

Anne This stuff looks awful. Bah! Why can't we have nice things?

I don't think you have to worry about a lawsuit coming from me

Anne, you have no idea. You hated that McFarlane Spider-Man that I punked you into reading. But you'll hate this about a thousand times more...

The writing: they threw in about 10 different subplots and because the art work is so, uh, dark, uou think that the handymen who are changing the blinds (heh) in Matt's office at night are going to gut Foggy when they're done...cuz it's dark...and creepy...

Kristin The one mitigating feature of Fall From Grace is that the cover for part 2 glows in the dark.

Jeff Sadly, I got nothing in this compilation. :( The cover just takes up two big pages.

And I acutely remember the days of foily and/or move-motion covers...

Anne Glow in the dark covers? Now that's classy.

Jeff Ha!

They still have warehouses full of this '90s junk somewhere. Back in the turn of the century, they would practically give this stuff away. A box of comics that you could pick from now costs $75, then $15. My wife had a hell of a time carrying those things around at the comic conventions.

Stephen Ugh, I read this last year. The redeeming piece is the Annual that also has Shang Chi. Everything else was confusing and made my eyes bleed.

Jeff Haha!

So far, I'm in complete agreement. So many subplots. It didn't work with the X-books and it's sinking this storyline fast.

I did notice Shang Chi on the cover. :)

Stephen D.G. Chichester (aka Alan Smithee) was ok on Nick Fury comics, but Daredevil and Elektra are not his best work. The next Epic after this is better, but still has to dig out of this mess.

Jeff This was from the library. I vaguely remember reading it initially, but one look at the artwork and I knew I didn't want to own it. LOL!
