hooks spends the whole introduction talking about how she wants this to be an accessible primer for the masses. But so far it's still pretty academic. She uses the phrase "the existing white supremacist capitalist patriarchy" on page 4 (but has only defined the word "patriarchy" thus far) and the word "concomitant" on page 5. This isn't something I think most working class people are going to be able to easily read.
