This book is written by my best friend's brother. I am very excited to read it, and blessedly surprised to have been given a personalized, signed copy. I have only read the first 2 chapters, but am already drawn into the plot and the characters. I am not a fan of stories told in the present tense. It seems very awkward and disjointed, However; I think this present tense is a device for only part of the story.

Other than the disjointed, uncomfortable use of present tense storytelling, the book is getting better. I find myself very interested in each of the characters in all three time settings.
