Well my theory was correct in a sense, but it was revealed shortly after my guess. Damnit I was sure I was way ahead of the game. Kate Morton lead me to that assumption on purpose so that I could feel duped. And I do. I feel duped. But I’m having fun reading this book.

Oh my dear lord this book has me enthralled in its majestic beauty. I need to savor these last few pages. I feel a “for sure” book hangover coming on after this. It’s haunting in the way that it will continuously bring a smile to your face at random moments, and like the great author Alice Edevane once said, “I couldn’t have plotted it better”.

Ok, Alice wrote a novel titled Bye Baby Bunting which was a Murder mystery novel. She based the characters from her family and shared it with her supposed BF BM, who needed money for a friend. Alice wrote the story with the perfect solution for him to steal the baby and put him up for ransom. She showed him the book. But once the baby went missing, she assumed it was him.

Kate Morton is really pulling me in. All the vagueness of these mysteries, I feel like I’m putting together a theory maybe just the same as a lead character (modern time London Detective Sadie Sparrow) must be feeling. Although I know I’m being misled, the way this historical novel mystery is written, truly has me fully engaged. 👍👍👍👍👍 so far.
