This isn't making any sense. I don't understand the decisions some of the characters are making. The editing is non-existant. I was hoping there'd be some improvement from the first book in that regard but there isn't.

Ok, I'm finally asking because this is driving me bonkers: what the swizzle sticks is henna hair supposed to look like. That’s an ink, not a hair color. You can dye your hair with henna to brighten your hair color, for whatever color it is.
It's instance like this, and other weird word usage, like drizzling hair, that makes me really want to send this author an editor.
