Oh my flipping gosh! What a great first chapter; what a great first line: “Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.” I was hooked immediately. I was right there in the dream with her. Astonishing. I haven’t enjoyed writing like this since the Essex Serpent. If Rebecca carries on like this, expect some serious gushing! (And I’m going to look pretty silly if it doesn’t 😏)
