He seemed to have a sixth sense about when it was time to go, and he’d leave the house more or less as he’d found it, minus the food he’d eaten. He even put the sheets and towels in the washing machine and switched on the dishwasher before he left until he realised the police were linking the break-ins, calling him the Courteous Burglar.
