Willow is shy, sweet but resilient. She sees ghosts like her mother but hides it. Sawyer was the WORST kind of stereotypical asshole in highschool.
He bullied her, and gave her a mean nick name (Stork because she was so skinny). He dated cheerleaders and was wealthy. His family was the most important in town. Willow is black and though there is racisim in the book, not from Sawyer. He didn't cross that line.
