Chapter 3: the plot is quite interesting so far. Whenever it is time for the dragon prince to take a princess, chosen women from across the land are brought to the Keep where the Dragon’s Gift will be chosen. This chosen lady will marry the prince and bear the next ruler. The Dragon’s Gift is born every hundred years or so and is the only lady capable of bearing a full dragon son.

Lucyan patiently taught her to read dragon runes due to her desire to understand the war and the history of the kingdom. Of course, he would be the first one to delve into the sexual realm of possibilities given his history, but he did so respectfully. He never pushed.

Alistair really showed how he placed his people, the soldiers, above himself. Instead of going to meet his date, he stayed to help tend to the wounded. Such a selfless and kind act.

Chapter 16
Despite having to fight each other to win the crown and hand of Dareena, they decide to battle fairly in an effort to maintain a good relationship after the competition. These triplets have been tight-knit for a long time. They don’t have many close family relations, so they don’t wish to lose this one. It’s quite admirable.

Chapter 8
The loss of a mate can turn a dragon mad. After the death of the princes’ mother, their father turned cold and malicious. Each of the sons grieved in their own ways. It makes me feel for lucyan a bit more. He is trying to displace his anger and grief by sleeping around and creating games to win. But was their mother’s death really caused by the elves? What really happened that fateful night?

The princes have some growing to do it seems.
Drystan seems smart and level-headed, but he needs to get the stick out of his ass.
Alistair is sweet and strong, but he can be a little gullible and air-headed sometimes.
Lucyan pulls through for his family when it counts, but he is conniving, manipulative, and basically a man whore.
