Way too much telling which is severely putting a distance between the characters and the reader. We aren't getting to know them. We're just being told lots of movements... lots of descriptions of things and places... Lists of things. SMH...

We know going into this that Taylor is 13 when his parents died. Yet, the story itself makes him sound like a little boy, not a 13 year old at all. SMH....
