The irritating first person thoughts are awkward and unnecessary. Just include them in the third person narrative. Swapping from third to first person in the middle of a sentence is jarring and confusing.

Ok I have some idea what Devan looks like. The others? Not so much. Varian is black (I think) and Zio is dark which could mean anything no clue about the other pack members. *sigh*
