Jesus Corvere, how on earth did you get in all this shit? And fack Ashlinn and Oz. They have no right for what they did, even if it is avenging their father. I am mourning for dear Tricky boy, I thought their relationship could become something...the only thing I care about now is Mia and Cassius.

Jesus, Mia fooling everyone even took me by surprise. And the 'breakup' between her and tric saddens me, but its was has to happen anyway

I'm officially invested in Mia Corvere's mortal life and in her relationships with the people around her.

'wait...' Mia blinked. 'did you say bath?
'... Naev did.'
'with water?' Mia was up on her knees, hands clutched at her breast. 'and soap?''
The woman nodded. 'Five kinds.'
'Maw's teeth,' Mia said, unlacing her shirt. 'you picked the right girl after all.'

the end of this scene was hilarious to me +well done
these seemingly simple and comical sentences and words express;character, setting, realism, more

Okay, but why do I love this so much?? What do i like? Well;
- the writing style
- the stories and (non) chronolgy Jay chose to tell
- the interesting world
- the characters
- unexpected humour
What do I not like?
- most of the time, having no idea what the backstories mean for a large part

+ i just realised, is all cursive told by the, whatever it is, the non-cat? Maybe

What?! I love this so much?? Btw, thank you Jay, for explaining everything, you know that I need it. I already love the character building and vivid settings +the gore and sarcasm. Most of all, I love the sense of mystery and general interest immediatly.. well, both neccessary and given. Officially hooked AND inspired.
Not for all people though, so beware.

first chapters are behind me, I'm slowly comprehending the writing style, and who the narrator is/are, though I had to look up like 3 reviews, all trying to explain it. I like the mixture of humour and gruesomeness, makes for a lovely 'grimdark' novel, as I guess its called.
tltr: do i understand it? -no. do I like it? yes.
